Greetings! November is recognized as National Family Caregivers Month. This observance is recognized every year during the month of November to draw attention to the important role that families play in caring for family members who need assistance. Also, November is a time when many families get together and may start conversations about looking at resources that can help older family members.
Because older adults and their families need to know where to find information about resources and programs, we've provided a link to Resources Directory for Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities in Wake County. This is an excellent publication that is compiled by Resources for Seniors of Wake County, the lead local aging agency in the county. It is a comprehensive list of programs and services that can help older and/or disabled people living in our county.
